Job Description
Truck and Coach Technicians (310T) and Apprentices required to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial trucks, buses, and trailers for a large civil construction company operating in Chapleau and Dubreuilville.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Inspection: Use computerized diagnostic tools to locate faults in engines, braking, steering, and suspension systems.
Maintenance & Repair: Adjust, repair, or replace components such as engines, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, and electrical systems.
Safety Compliance: Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMI) and ensure vehicles meet Ministry of Transportation (MTO) regulations.
System Specialization: Work on specialized systems including HVAC, hydraulic systems, and exhaust emission controls.
Documentation: Complete repair orders and documentation of work performed.
Work environment: Technicians will work in-shop and in-field. | - Work is physically demanding, involving tasks like repairing frames, welding, and working with heavy components. | Environment can be noisy and requires adherence to strict safety standards.
Required Skills & Role
Required Skills and Qualifications
Certification: Valid 310T Technician license (in Ontario/Canada) or registered in an apprenticeship program.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of diesel engines, heavy-duty electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
Physical Requirements: Ability to handle heavy lifting, climbing, and working in tight spaces.
Tools & Technology: Proficiency in using hand tools and modern diagnostic software.
Skills: Analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
