Job Description
POSITION: Tutors in the Classroom (Math Focused)
JOB CODE: September 2026 to June 2027
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday – During school hours (Schedule of hours to be arranged with successful applicants)
RATE OF PAY: $22.00 / hour
LOCATIONS:
St. Augustine, Wawa - 1 position
100 hours/position
St. Basil’s, White River - 1 position
100 hours/position
DUTIES:
Reporting to the principal, the tutor in the classroom will be responsible for the following duties:
Support the work of teachers in elementary classrooms to allow for tier three mathematics interventions
Work with small groups of students to reinforce numeracy skills
Support students with digital tools being used in the class to support math instruction
Support students with assigned math work, problems and “extra help sessions”
Supporting students as otherwise directed by the Principal
Required Skills & Role
QUALIFICATIONS:
Completed or enrolled in a post-secondary program at a College or University
