Company Information
The random length sawmill was formed by private investors, the Netamisakomik Anishinabek (formerly known as Pic Mobert First Nation) and the White River Economic Development Corporation. Located in Northwestern Ontario in White River, Ontario, WRFP is known for its high quality lumber and a strong community spirit. A multi-million dollar re-investment program is ongoing, and the mill employs over 145 talented people working towards making WRFP one of the most efficient mills in Eastern Canada… and we're hiring.
White River, located midway between Thunder Bay and Sault Ste. Marie, at the intersection of Highways 17 and 631, is heaven for outdoors-people. Fish, hunt, hike, snowmobile, paddle, and pick wild blueberries to your heart’s content (it isn’t uncommon to see a snowmobile in the parking lot of WRFP).
Get a selfie with the Winnie the Pooh statue (we are the birthplace of A.A. Milne’s famous character), join a darts league, use the community gym or arena, enjoy one of the local festivals, and party with the holiday train. Originally set up as a rail town on the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1885, this town of 1,000 is all about community.
