Job Description

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Co-ordinate the purchasing of materials and supplies; 

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing and delivery details; 

  • Communicate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, obtain quotes, confirm pricing, track order status, and resolve discrepancies or issues; 

  • Prepare and manage purchase orders; 

  • Verify receipt of goods and ensure orders are complete and accurate; 

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels; 

  • Perform regular inventory counts, investigate and reconcile discrepancies; 

  • Review and process returns, handle warranty and damage claims, and ensure all documentation is completed; 

  • Perform other tasks as required; 

  • Hours of Work/Rate of Pay: Full-time, permanent; 

  • Typical hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; • Wage will be based on skills and experience

Required Skills & Role

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Previous experience in retail or a purchasing position; 

  • Experience using accounting systems to generate purchase orders and process invoices considered an asset

  • Working knowledge and experience with managing inventory using both manual and computerized systems; 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
