Remote Position

Job Description
  • Safely operate and maintain a front-end loader

  • Perform daily pre-operational and post-operational inspections and attend safety meetings

  • Manage and report inventory and production

  • Clean and lubricate and refuel equipment as required

  • Monitor equipment fitness, and ever-changing conditions

  • Perform minor repairs to equipment when required

  • Maintain accurate electronic hours of service logs and vehicle inspection logs

  • Perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, crouching, climbing, crawling, repetitive reaching, and extended periods of standing throughout the workday

  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including inclement weather

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Shift work with both day and night shifts as required

  • Travel to job sites across Northern Ontario, including occasional out-of-town assignments with overnight stays

  • Work in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Role

Required:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience operating a front-end loader

  • Valid G class Driver’s License

  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Considered an Asset:

  • Prior experience in the construction, mining, and pits and quarries

  • Surface Miner Common Core

  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent

Skills & Abilities:

  • Successfully passed comprehensive pre-employment third party testing requirements (drug and alcohol testing and a Criminal Background Check (CPIC) and any other requirements they impose on contractors)

  • Familiar with aspects of maintenance of crushing equipment

  • Knowledge of loading requirements, techniques, and practices

  • Ability to perform physically intensive and strenuous tasks

  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision

  • Strong communication skills with supervisors, coworkers, and clients

  • Ability to adapt to changing job requirements and schedules

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • Professional attitude and strong work ethic
