Remote Position
Job Description
Safely operate and maintain a front-end loader
Perform daily pre-operational and post-operational inspections and attend safety meetings
Manage and report inventory and production
Clean and lubricate and refuel equipment as required
Monitor equipment fitness, and ever-changing conditions
Perform minor repairs to equipment when required
Maintain accurate electronic hours of service logs and vehicle inspection logs
Perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, crouching, climbing, crawling, repetitive reaching, and extended periods of standing throughout the workday
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including inclement weather
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Shift work with both day and night shifts as required
Travel to job sites across Northern Ontario, including occasional out-of-town assignments with overnight stays
Work in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Role
Required:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience operating a front-end loader
Valid G class Driver’s License
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Considered an Asset:
Prior experience in the construction, mining, and pits and quarries
Surface Miner Common Core
Highschool Diploma or equivalent
Skills & Abilities:
Successfully passed comprehensive pre-employment third party testing requirements (drug and alcohol testing and a Criminal Background Check (CPIC) and any other requirements they impose on contractors)
Familiar with aspects of maintenance of crushing equipment
Knowledge of loading requirements, techniques, and practices
Ability to perform physically intensive and strenuous tasks
Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills with supervisors, coworkers, and clients
Ability to adapt to changing job requirements and schedules
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Professional attitude and strong work ethic
