RATE: $20.60 + 14% lieu of benefits | Summer Student Position | Start Date: April or May 2026 | Clinical Student Extern Program for nursing students enrolled in 2nd, 3rd or 4th year | Work up to full-time hours | May include 12 hour shifts (days/nights and weekends) | Duties: Practices under supervision of RN/RPN; Performs vital signs and documentation; Assists with personal hygiene; Provides assistance with bed making, lifting, transferring and ambulating; Supports patient safety and comfort rounds; Assists with admissions, transfers and discharges; Performs range of motion exercises; Responds to call bells and performs safety checks; Maintains infection control and universal precautions; Participates as a team member; Maintains patient dignity, privacy and confidentiality; Limitations: Cannot initiate controlled acts unless delegated; Cannot administer IV, epidural, narcotic or highly toxic drugs; May administer oral medications under supervision; Cannot act as witness or be in charge; Cannot take verbal or telephone orders
