Job Description
POSITION: Tutor in the Classroom
EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately to June 2026
HOURS OF WORK: Schedule to be arranged with principal – 4 hours per week
RATE OF PAY: $22.00/hour
LOCATION: St. Augustine, Wawa, ON
Duties:
Reporting to the principal, the tutor in the classroom will be responsible for the following duties:
Support the work of teachers in elementary classrooms to allow for tier three mathematics interventions
Work with small groups of students to reinforce numeracy skills
Support students with digital tools being used in the class to support math instruction
Support students with assigned math work, problems and “extra help sessions”
Supporting students as otherwise directed by the principal
Required Skills & Role
QUALIFICATIONS: Completed or enrolled in a post-secondary program at a college or university.
