Job Description
Hourly Rate: $17.60 - $21 per hour depending on experience
Reports To: Team Lead
Summary
The Michipicoten Golf Club is accepting resumes for eligible candidate for a kitchen help position. The successful applicant can expect to help with the daily food preparation, serving customers, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and supporting the smooth operation of food service throughout the club, including the restaurant, events, and tournaments.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Assist in daily food preparation, portioning, and inventory control.
Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
Follow proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards.
Help with banquet or tournament events as needed, including buffets and plated service.
Communicate effectively with the Team Lead or Kitchen Manager on kitchen needs or concerns.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced kitchen environment.
Standing for extended periods.
Exposure to hot surfaces, sharp tools, and various kitchen equipment.
Required Skills & Role
Requirements:
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
