Job Description
POSITION: 1 Temporary Part Time Dietary Aide
DEPARTMENT: Support Services
LOCATION: Lady Dunn Health Centre
RATE: $25.943 - $26.479
SHIFTS: Shift Work
POSTING NUMER: 027-027-2026
START DATE: ASAP
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
➢ Assist in preparing patient trays for use in meal delivery and tailored to specific diets.
➢ Prepare designated nourishments for patients, including some food items according to
standardized recipes.
➢ Complete the entire ware wash process.
➢ Assist with putting supplies and groceries away.
➢ Provide meal service and clean-up. complete
➢ Complete designated tasks on cleaning schedule.
➢ Assist in other areas of kitchen as required.
➢ Comply with legislated regulations, as well as direction and requests of Manager.
➢ Ability to plan work and be organized and efficient in time management.
➢ Consistency in preparation of food items.
➢ Safely and effectively operate food service equipment.
➢ Handle money responsibly and operate cash register
Required Skills & Role
QUALIFICATIONS:
➢ Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
➢ Food Service Worker or willingness to obtain certification is required
➢ Food Handler Training Certificate
➢ Food service experience
➢ Therapeutic diet knowledge
➢ Courteous customer service
➢ Bilingual-French and English is considered an asset
