About the job
As the divisional representative for the Regional Operations Division, this position leads resource management advice and divisional coordination and implementation.
As a Divisional Indigenous Initiatives Coordinator, you will:
• Lead and contribute to projects and new initiatives
• Assess needs against regional and divisional priorities and develop solutions
• Lead or coordinate Indigenous strategic and operational planning, including environmental scans
• Provide operational leadership, advice, and guidance through consultation, negotiation, and conflict resolution
• Develop and deliver Indigenous training for ministry management, staff, partner ministries, agencies, and stakeholders

Lead and manage multiple medium- to large-scale projects, delivering within scope, budget, and timelines
Provide leadership to project teams, including directing staff and chairing working groups and task teams

Teamwork and influencing skills to collaborate across divisions
Demonstrated ability to engage diverse groups, including the public, and to communicate and provide advice on Indigenous issues

Prepare a range of written materials such as briefings and policy proposals
Prepare presentations and brief management
Analytical and Problem-Solving
You have:
Research and evaluation skills to address needs, issues and concerns of the public and ministry partners
Strategic thinking to identify and assess gaps and opportunities for business/ process improvement
Knowledge
You have:
Knowledge of Indigenous studies, treaties and agreements to lead, facilitate and/or provide advice related to Indigenous affairs within the Division
