Job Description
Safety / Environment
Ensure safe work systems/procedures are always practised and adhered to ensuring duties are performed in a manner that minimises risk to self, employees, and contractors.
Maintain exemplary standard of housekeeping at all times, safe work, incident/accident reporting & active involvement in safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
Abide by and proactively comply with Company policies, procedures, guidelines, and systems, as well as all relevant legislation.
Understand and familiarise oneself with site Emergency evacuation procedures
Technical & Role Accountabilities
Efficiently operate Pumps, Multimedia Filters, Zeolite Reactors, Stripping Tower and Blowers
Efficiently operate Mobile Equipment such as Overhead Crane, Telehandler and Skid steer.
Perform pre-operational checks and operate equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOP’S).
Handle and mix reagents
Monitor equipment and processes which includes making adjustments as required.
Inspect the process regularly to ensure downtime is minimised
Act as a Trades Assistant to maintenance personnel during shutdowns
Trouble shooting activities when problems arise.
Participate in daily and monthly safety meetings.
Perform housekeeping activities as required

Work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals – both within own department and site wide.
Communicate relevant information and data to other personnel through formalised shift changes and use data reporting systems.
Leverage off and use the talent and knowledge within the team to resolve problems.
Regularly communicate with the Mill Supervisor on daily KPIs and targets and inform him/her of non-conformances and any/all serious situations
Planning & Organization
Proactively identify and address risks before they arise as issues.
Be punctual to work and all required site meetings.
Undertake other duties as lawfully instructed
