Required Skills & Role
Knowledge / Skills / Duties
Establish and monitor primary and secondary underground survey controls at the SZM to include decline, or tunnel grade levelling and maintain respective data collection and documentation of control and closure accuracies and/or adjustments
Complete daily survey pickups, provide line and grade control for development crews, produce driving layouts, maintain as-built drawings, complete month end development and production reports
Complete scans of underground excavations to update as-built models and for reconciliation purposes
Conduct survey data analysis and maintain integrity of data of all files in survey database.
Set out mine design and geological requirements to include plans for staff to utilize
Conduct and verify ore reserve and/or stockpile surveys to ensure accurate mineral resource volumes are calculated and reconciled monthly
Maintain surveying equipment to required standards
Provide data relevant to the shape, contour, gravitation, location, elevation, or dimension of ore and waste bodies for engineering and geology teams
Collaborate and share survey data with engineering, geology, and contract personnel.
Develop criteria for survey methods and procedures
Carry out initial surveys, risk assessments and environmental impact assessments on potential work locations to assess whether plans are workable
Conduct other activities to support the safe, efficient, and successful development of the Sugar Zone Mine
Produce survey plans and memos as required to a high standard and timely manner
Undertake other duties as lawfully instructed

Participate in and support business improvement initiatives and delivery a product(s) to operations and project teams.
Attend and actively participate in shift change meetings and provide accurate handover notes/information on problems, events and process changes to cross shift
Prioritise and complete tasks accurately as to specifications as assigned by direct supervisor within required timeframes.
Proactively identify and address hazards before they arise as issues.
Be punctual to work and all required site meetings.
