Job Description
POSITION: 1 Permanent Part-Time Junior Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Registration
RATE: $25.943 - $26.479
SHIFTS: Shift work which may include continuous weekend work

Major Responsibilities:
Registers clients to In-Patient Services as well as Out-Patients services
Operates switchboard
Receptionist duties
Receives payments on accounts, issues receipts and maintains petty cash.
Maintains accurate filing of accounts
Handles booking of Surgical cases
Books appointment for specialty services as required and communicates appointments to clients.
Maintains supplies for department as well as paper supplies for photocopier
Faxes out Laboratory results to requesting specialists.
Typing for various departments upon request
Other duties that may be assigned from time to time by Manager
Required Skills & Role
Minimum Secondary School Graduation Diploma
Bilingual – French/English is Preferred
Keyboarding skills
Relevant office experience as determined by the Hospital
Book-keeping, accounting knowledge
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Company Information
The Lady Dunn Health Centre is a multi-service facility located east of the north shore of Lake Superior. Our catchment area has a population of just over 4,300 which includes the communities of Dubreuilville, Hawk Junction, Michipicoten First Nation, Michipicoten Township-Wawa, Missanabie, and White River.
The Health Centre includes ten acute care, two respite and sixteen long term care beds. We operate a 24-hour emergency department, staffed by a Registered Nurse and an on-call Physician. We also provide a Surgical Program, Diagnostic and Therapeutic services, Telehealth and a Nurse Practitioner Program.
Our community service program includes North Algoma Counselling Service, North Algoma Diabetes Education Program, and outreach nursing clinics in the communities of Dubreuilville and Missanabie.
Other on-site services that operate as separate entities are the Wawa Medical Centre, Wawa Family Health Team, Ontario Health AtHome and the Paramedic Services of Algoma.
