Job Description
Do you have the expertise required to oversee and deliver all business activity related to crown land tenure in Ontario? Bring your knowledge and professional experience in Crown land management, your attention to detail and leadership skills to this challenging and rewarding position.
You will provide the expertise and leadership in:
Planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating and coordinating the administration and issuance of all Crown Land tenure and related title documents
ensuring the successful delivery of the Crown Land Registry business activity
advising and working with others on Crown Land related information management.

Salary: $80,089.00 - $115,402.00 Per year
Job term: 1 Permanent, 1 Temporary assignment/contract for up to 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

What you bring to the team
Technical expertise:
You have detailed knowledge and understanding of the requirements and practical implementation of applicable legislation in order to interpret, understand and apply the rules of Crown land registration and disposition.
You have knowledge and experience in interpreting and implementing policy and procedures in order to accurately dispose of Crown lands and arrange for registration of related title documents as well as track and file the associated land tenure documents.
Communication and interpersonal skills:
You have communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various staff and the public on a variety of land management and related issues, and to prepare recommendations, reports, briefing notes, etc. for senior management.
You have influencing, negotiation and dispute resolution skills to advise ministry staff on the resolution of contentious and complex issues, the consistent application and interpretation of provincial policies, and the disposition of public land.
Analytical and problem-solving skills:
You are able to analyze and provide problem solving solutions on contentious and complex land management and related issues e.g. issues referred by field staff (e.g. contentious land dispositions) or identified by incumbent (e.g. inconsistent application of province-wide policies/practices) or resulting from public program inquiries.
Computer proficiency:
You are proficient with computers, common office productivity software and various database applications to maintain project data, compile reports etc.
